What are the beds made of?
The sides and headboards are made from MDF (a particle board which gives a good surface for painting). The legs are made from Tulip wood with Beech balls (Tulip Wood is a knot free softwood). The mattress slats and support batons are made from pine.
Are the beds difficult to put together?
With the aid of an electric screwdriver the beds are very easy to put together, however please make sure that you do read the assembly instructions first.
Do the beds come with assembly instructions and fixings?
Assembly instructions and all the necessary fixings are in the smallest box which also holds the legs.
Which bed size is a Standard single?
The Size 1 Bed which is 206cm long x 102cm wide and takes a Mattress 190cm X 90cm (6'3' x 3').
I don't understand your bed sizes.

All of the bed components are supplied unprimed and ready for painting.
What is the usual delivery time?
Orders are usually dispatched within 7 to 10 days from order (subject to stock). Some orders which include mattresses may take longer (usually 3- 4 weeks) as some mattresses are made to order.
What paint do you recommend for painting the beds?
We don't recommend any particular paint. However we have found that oil based eggshells gives a longer lasting finish than water based eggshell.
How many coats of paint will I need If I paint it myself?
This will depend on the paint products that you use, we recommend that you always follow the manufacturers advice.
As a general guide you will need one primer coat, followed by 2 coats of the topcoat.
We have found that an Eggshell or satin finish will give a longer lasting and easier to maintain surface.
Top Tip:- to get the best finish give a light sand and vacuum to remove dust between coats.
Do I paint the bed assembled or in pieces?
It's best to paint the bed assembled in the room it is going to end up in. However if you can't do this then paint it assembled somewhere else and just take the head boards off to move it later.
Or you can paint it in pieces but be careful not to fill up the joints with paint.
